The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) has a robust lineup of virtual and in-person college fairs this spring. MatchMaking is new at this year’s fairs, and optional, and allows students to enter preferences in five categories (campus size, campus setting, majors offered, institution type, and geographic region). Students will then receive a list of schools that match a minimum of four of those preferences. Virtual fairs include general college fairs as well as more specialized ones, and in-person fairs will be held in multiple regions across the United States. College fairs are a great way to learn more about a wide variety of colleges, and to begin to connect with college admissions officers. The College Board has a helpful resource you can use to prepare to attend a college fair: 20 Questions to Ask College Representatives and How to Get the Most Out of a College Fair.
